Scented Candles
Scented candles are a great way to fill your home with the inviting aromas of fall. Essential Oils
Struggle with artificial scents? One of our dear friends has a slight allergy to artificial scents, but still enjoys filling his home with seasonal scents, especially in the fall and winter when he spends more time at home. To scent his home, without triggering his allergies, our friend likes to use essential oils in a diffuser. Our friend shared with us his favorite “recipe” for an essential oil blend that will fill your home with the comforting scents of autumn while staying a little more allergy-friendly.
Ingredients:
- 10 drops of clove oil
- 10 drops of cinnamon oil
- 10 drops of geranium or tea rose oil
- 10 drops of orange oil
- 10 drops of patchouli oil
- 5 drops of marjoram oil
- 1 small glass or plastic vial with a lid
Directions:
- Add oils to the vial
- Add 2-3 drops of oil to the essential oil diffuser along with water as per the machine’s instructions
Soaps
If you live in a shared living space or are often on the go, candles or essential oil diffusers may not be the most practical way for you to enjoy the scents of fall. A great way for you to take in the nostalgic aromas of autumn all the time is with a fall-scented soap.
